Jozani Forest Tour (Half Day):
This is the only biggest national park in Unguja. A driver and experienced guide will pick from your Hotel in Zanzibar and drive you to Jozani natural forest and see Indian almond trees which make several sub-canopies under the highest canopy. This special Zanzibar Tour is an option to see several other types of shrubs you may walk through and enjoy the Zanzibar nature trail of the forest which is a habitat for many species of animals, and birds. It is famous for its Red Colobus monkey; the rare specie. The Zanzibar Red colobus has been isolated from its mainland counterparts for at least ten to fifteen thousand years, thus producing a distinct sub-species with different calls, eating habits and coat patterns. Jozani Forest has become the last stronghold in the world extinct of Red colobus monkeys. If you are lucky you can also enjoy the sight of giant black monkeys, dickdic, shrew and many other fauna.
